12th Annual Red and White Ball Fundraiser

The Twelfth Annual Summit Bank Foundation Red and White Ball was held once again at beautiful Diablo Country Club on Saturday, December 2, 2006. The gala event was attend by the Foundation's Board of Directors and Honorary Trustees as well as donors, volunteers and celebrities who consistently support the mission of the Summit Bank Foundation's
Financial Literacy Program.

We were honored to have Diane Dwyer, NCB-TV Channel 11 News, as our master of ceremonies. The evening entertainment included Brandon Smith, AKA 2 Krayze, the innovator of a "Stay in School" Video. The Foundation's friend, Mark Russo, saxophonist from the Doobie Brothers Band, kicked off a evening of dancing.

Our live auction was nothing short of a resounding success with auctioneer Harvey Clar at the helm. The Summit Superstar Award, the first annual, recognized Tiffany Stuart, Summit Bank Foundation Director, for her invaluable support and contributions.

It is with the generosity of countless others that we can achieve our goal to give assistance to the youth in our local community: Safeway Inc., Robert Mondavi Winery, Southwest Airlines and Norwegian Cruise Lines.

Summit Bank Foundation is focused on financial literacy in our public schools. We encourage small and medium sized businesses to follow our lead in caring for our community. The foundation produces and sponsors a program called the ABCs of Financial Literacy and provides comprehensive curriculum guides, lesson plans and weekly sets of newspapers at no cost to educators. In 2005, our financial literacy program was taught in 425 elementary, junior high and high school classrooms, reaching approximately 25,000 students throughout the Bay Area!
